Mel is an award-winning illustrator whose accolades include the Make it in Design scholarship (2016) and the 2020 Rubery Book Award (Children’s category) for her debut picture book. She has illustrated over 15 books for major publishers, and is recognized as a top teacher on Skillshare—an honor given to just 1% of instructors. Now based in New Zealand, her daily inspiration is drawn from the stunning Wellington Harbour and the country’s vibrant wildlife.
