Reduce Travel Anxiety

Travel usually triggers anxieties in people who do not like to be in confined spaces, among a crowd of people, or in a strange environment. And during times of extreme stress due to a pandemic or natural disaster, this anxiety increases tremendously.
“…Broadly speaking, there are two types of situations that are most likely to cause anxiety, Martin Antony, Ph.D., a psychology professor at Ryerson University in Toronto and author of The Anti-Anxiety Workbook, says, “One is when we don’t know what’s going to happen. The other is situations where we’re not in control.”
According to the Center for Anxiety Disorders, one of the things you can do to help you feel more in control is to be prepared. Identify that you have these anxieties and bring things along that will help you remain calm.
Calming music downloaded to your phone or practicing relaxation techniques before you go can help. They also recommend bringing a favorite pillow, like the Cuddle Buddy Neck Pillow, to help you get restful sleep along the journey. If you are traveling by car or train, you might have room to bring along the Cuddle Buddy Comfort Pillow.
Relatively new to the market, weighted blankets can ease anxieties while traveling. Weighted blankets are scientifically designed to release and regulate levels of stress hormones like cortisol, oxytocin and serotonin, which are mood enhancers.
Travel anxiety is very real. Fear of flying is the most common that affects up to 6.5% of the population. But fear of the mode of transportation is not the only anxiety that is aggravated during travel. There are many phobias that can come into play that can be calmed by having the right tools and strategies.
Children have the right idea when they carry their “blanky” around because it soothes their anxieties. Now we adults can bring along our comfort pillow and weighted blanket to calm anxieties without seeming out of the ordinary.

Buy one, you won't regret it -- I've never been so comfortable or slept so soundly than with my Cuddle Buddy neck pillow. I would never be without it now so I'm thinking of getting another one because mine keeps getting "borrowed". Worthy of 10 stars! – Debs
